POLDAMS protects and manages all audio/visual assets through investigation, preparation, presentation in court, and long term retention. At the earliest opportunity still images, audio, and full video are stored in the POLDAMS "Write Once Read Many" (WORM) central filestore.

Working copies can be made and distributed to the appropriate people in a controlled and restricted manner. Audit history reports are produced from POLDAMS logs and accompany audio/visual material presented in court.

With easy search and retrieve capabilities POLDAMS supports investigations, court preparations, and intelligence gathering.

All concerns about the degradation of master tapes, CDs, or DVDs are removed, as material is protected by a combination of backup, archive, and disaster recovery.
