Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire, UK, May 12th, 2008, Media Perception Limited announces POLSAFE is being used by West Yorkshire Police with Body Worn Cameras.
West Yorkshire Police are rolling out 120 Cylon headcams across the force, supplied by BT Redcare. The Crown Prosecution Service has approved the video management system – POLSAFE - for the production of admissible evidential master video disks. This force now uses POLSAFE to produce their masters for evidential purposes.
The rapid deployment of headcams or body worn cameras by the UK Police means systems are needed to protect, manage and preserve the integrity of captured video.
POLSAFE is designed to handle all types of police video and still images. It enables police officers to catalogue and store video securely and when needed carry out search and playback operations to support prosecutions and investigations.
